What is the use of the robots.txt file?
As you’ve probably realized by now, the robots.txt file is used to prevent robots from crawling certain areas of your site/blog.

However, remember that not all robots respect this file. For example, spam bots, which scan the web to steal email addresses, can ignore the Disallow: commands and enter those pages. So the robots.txt file is not a good way to hide your secure information.

Can I edit the robots.txt file?
Unfortunately, Blogger users cannot edit their robots.txt file. It is maintained by Blogger itself and you cannot upload your own file instead of the default one.

But, if you manage a site where you can upload files to the root domain, then you can use the tools provided by the Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) console to edit the robots.txt file. Once you have verified your blog with GWT, this is available from the Tools section of the left side navigation bar.


The Analyze robots.txt tool lets you test your rules to see what URLs they actually allow or disallow. This is good to avoid any un-intentional block offs by syntax errors in your file.

The Generate robots.txt tool has a simple user interface to create a file, even if you are not sure of the file’s syntax. Once generated, you can download the file to your machine and then upload it to your site’s root domain.

Note: To install follow these instructions:
1) Install program by double-clicking on the KE_update13139.exe file.
2) Copy the file called: keyword.elite.patch.exe and paste it into the directory that you installed Keyword Elite (this is usually program files/keyword elite).
3) Go to that directory, double-click on the patch.exe file you just pasted in there, click on patch (when it says done exit the patch).
4) Now close down your internet connection, open up keyword elite and when it asks you for an email address etc, just click continue.
5) It should now start, re-connect to the internet and use Keyword Elite.
P.S. You will need to repeat steps 4 - 5 EVERY time you wish to use Keyword Elite.
This is annoying but it’s well worth it because this is a fantastic piece of software!

Notepad++

Good News this is a free (as in "free speech" and also as in "free beer") source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. Running in the MS Windows environment, its use is governed by GPL Licence.

For the binary (executable program) download, you have 2 choices: zip format and executable installer format. The installer format should suit for everyone since it gives all the possibilities (the choice of language, the options for components to install...). Whereas the zip format contains the minimum files to execute Notepad++.

For the zip format installation, if it's the first time you install Notepad++, just unzip the zip file to desired directory, then execute notepad++.exe. However, if you upgrade Notepad++ from the previous version, you have to follow the instructions:

1. Get Run Dialog by clicking start->run (Notepad++ should be closed).
2. Copy this text %APPDATA%\Notepad++ into the text field of Run Dialog.
3. Click ok. A folder named "Notepad++" will appear.
4. Delete 2 files config.xml and stylers.xml then unzip the zip file and launch Notepad++.

Source files

To build this package:

• For generating the executable file (notepad++.exe), you can use VC++ 7 or MinGW 3.0 / 2.X . A makefile is available, but not maintained anymore. I suggest you generate makefile via CMakeLists.txt come with this project by using cmake.
• For generating the dll files (SciLexer.dll) , you have to use VC++ 6 or MinGW 3.0 / 2.X

All the binaries will be built in the directory notepad++\PowerEditor\bin

	You have two views at same time. That means you can visualize (edit) 2 different documents at the same time (screenshot). 	Regular Expression Search/Replace supported
	You can search and replace one string in the document by using the regular expression.

	You can open a document by drag & drop. You can also move your document from a position (or even a view) to another by drag & drop.

	Dynamic position of Views
	The user can set the position of the views dynamically (only in 2 views mode : the splitter can be set in horizontal or in vertical), see screenshot.

	File Status Auto-detection
	If you modify or delete a file which opened in Notepad++, you will be notified to update your document (reload the file or remove the file).

	Zoom in and zoom out
	That's another fantastic function of Scintilla component. Just see screenshot.

	Multi-Language environment supported
	The Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hebrew Windows environments are supported. See Notepad++ under the Chinese Windows , under the Arabic Windows and under the Hebrew Windows in action screenshot.

	Bookmark
	User can just click on the bookmark margin (located right side of line number margin) or type Ctrl+F2 to toggle a book mark. To reach the bookmark, type just F2 (Next bookmark) or Shift+F2 (Previous bookmark). To clear all bookmarks, click the Menu Search->Clear All bookmarks. See screenshot.

	Brace and Indent guideline Highlighting
	When the caret stay beside of one of those symbol { } [ ] ( ) , the symbol beside of caret and its symmetric opposite symbol will be highlighted, as well as the indent guideline (if any) in order to locate the block more easily. See screenshot1, screenshot2 .
